Buying Fabric on Spoonflower

October 20, 2012

A few months ago I discovered Spoonflower. If you’ve never heard of it, you should definitely check out their website. Spoonflower is a fantastic website that allows you to design and print your own fabric designs.

If you’ve ever wanted to design your own fabric, get it printed and use it at home this is THE website to use.

  • There’s no minimum order.
  • You get to select from a variety of different fabric textures to have your design printed.
  • You can order swatches.
  • They’re eco-friendly.
  • And you can enter your designs into weekly contests.
  • PLUS, if you’ve ever wanted to be a designer you can list your designs for sale!

For the small, local indie designer this website is absolutely amazing! You upload your designs and they do the rest – from printing & fulfillment to shipping & customer service. How easy is that?!

I’m completely in love with the designers on Spoonflower. Two designers I discovered via search are Tamara of kayajoy and Deborah of bora. Their designs are adorable. Here are a few samplings:

The only print I didn’t buy above is the third one from bora. But how cute are these prints?! I can’t wait to use the fabric.

I have to stop myself from looking at the site. If I don’t, I’ll just keep buying fabric before getting to finish up the fabric I already have. Anyhow, go check out Spoonflower. Then come back and tell me who your favorite designers and/or prints are. There are so many I can’t search through all of them, so I’d love to see who you find. Have fun!!!
